This is a Short-Term Contract Position. Occupancy Planner, On-site Services Overview/Position Summary The Occupancy Planners primary focus is to provide tactical and strategic Occupancy Planning expertise to assist in managing the supply, capacity, and demand of assigned Clients portfolio of Space. Responsibilities - High Level: Strategic & Planning Focus: Long-Term Strategic Planning: Contributes to the now, near and future workplace strategy from an occupancy perspective; includes anticipating future trends and their impact on space needs Risk Assessment & Mitigation: Identifies potential risks associated with occupancy plans (e.g., lack of space, delays in moves) and developing mitigation strategies Policy Development & Compliance: Contributes to the development of workplace and occupancy-related policies and ensure compliance with relevant regulations Operational & Execution Focus: Vendor Management: This role involves working directly with client and may have to interface with external vendors for moves, furniture, or other related services, this should be included. Space Allocation Strategy: Develop a clear space allocation strategy based on team needs, work styles, and organizational priorities Technology Integration: Identify integration & leverage opportunities with workplace technology (e.g., space booking systems, sensors) Sustainability Initiatives: Contribute to the organization's sustainability goals through efficient space utilization and landfill free dispositions Collaboration & Communication Focus: Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborates with other key teams like Real Estate, IT, Facilities, HR, and Finance Stakeholder Management: Identifies and manages the expectations of various stakeholders involved in occupancy decisions Reporting & Presentations: Evaluate trending analysis, develop reports and presentations required for different audiences (leadership, teams) Additional Details: Develop site occupancy plan for supply and demand: analysis of forecasted headcount and seat supply projections, supporting graphs, stacking plans, move scenarios, challenges, and pros/cons for each recommendation Implement move plan in accordance with the approved occupancy plan Alter/recommend changes to the plan as business drivers change Facilitate planning, move meetings, or team meetings to support occupancy plans Support change management as it pertains to changing workspace to accommodate modes of work Qualifications: Education/Experience 3+ years of related experience Work Environment Onsite in San Francisco working directly with Client and Clients team Design Minds
